Boken består av fem delar: early writings, strategic theory, general strategy, maritime and naval strategy samt en avslutande betraktelse över fenomenet strategi.
Förordet är skrivet av Vice Amiral David Ben-Bashat, tidigare israelisk marinchef.

RSAWS member Lars Wedin has recently published a book: Strategic Thoughts and Other Delusions, 350 pages. It contains his best and still relevant articles since the first one in 1976 until 2022. The book is made up of five parts: early writings, strategic theory, general strategy, maritime and naval strategy and a concluding reflection on the phenomenon of strategy.
The foreword is written by Vice Admiral David Ben-Bashat, former head of the Israeli Navy.
