The Swedish Royal Academy of War Sciences was founded in 1796 by Gustav Wilhelm af Tibell with the charter to seek, build and distribute knowledge significant to Sweden’s Defence and Security. The Tibell Fund was established as a foundation for financing the Academy’s publishing operations.
