“Poland as a security policy actor in the Baltic Sea region”
One of the most influential persons in the Polish security policy establishment, General, Professor, Stanislaw Koziej, has very kindly accepted an invitation by the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciencies to give a lecture on the security challenges facing Europe today, and Poland’s role in this context. General Koziej is the National Security Advisor to the Polish President and Head of the Polish National Security Bureau (BBN).
“The BBN is a body providing aid and support to the President of the Republic of Poland in executing security and defence tasks. These tasks result from the role of the President as the supreme representative of the Republic of Poland and the guarantor of the continuity of the State authority, responsible for ensuring observance of the Constitution, safeguarding sovereignty and security of the State as well as inviolability and integrity of its territory. The Bureau’s tasks result also from the constitutional function of the President who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces”
The event is jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciencies in cooperation with the Swedish National Defence College.
