Experts agree: domestic politics and foreign policy are more intertwined than ever before. In fact, some argue that we haven’t seen this level of connection since the Vietnam War. As we head into a year filled with important elections worldwide, including the European elections this spring and the United States elections, the battle for national and international security will to large extent be fought at the ballot box.
